Why We Chose Keller Williams
UPDATE: It’s come to my attention that some people have taken this post personally. I want to clarify that it is not putting down any company I have ever worked with. It is a reflection of my personal experience selling real estate and dealing with different brokerage models, methods of training, other agents, as well as public perception. I appreciate and acknowledge all the value my previous mentors have given me, and know our team would not be where it is without them. I just believe the Keller Williams, as a company, is more aligned with my personal beliefs, and provides the best training and tools available to truly serve my clients. I sincerely apologize if I offended anyone. I just made a business decision that will make my family’s life, and the communities I serve better.
Dear Friends, Colleagues, and past, present, and future Clients,
I have so much to say, I knew I had to make it a blog post instead of a Facebook update. A lot has changed over the last few weeks. I am excited to share with you, because it is all for the better of our community! It is important to me to share, because I know there are rumors flying around, and misinformation being relayed that will ultimately prevent those who will benefit most from this new move, from being able to take their career and life to the next level.
My whole real estate career I have been told you can’t sell real estate that way. You are not a good salesperson. You need to be more aggressive. You can’t change the world through real estate. Buyers are liars. Get the listing at all costs. You will not be successful in real estate if you do not cold call. You have to show the public that they are uneducated, and they need you. Well, guess what I learned in the last 7 years of real estate. I have learned the public does need me. They need me to empower them, by helping them sort through the mass information pool. There is too much “general” information out there. Every market is different. So, even though there are thousands of resources, the public needs me to be their consultant. To help them find and use the information that is relevant to them. I have learned that building lasting relationships with my clients; being genuine, and putting my clients first is the way to be successful in real estate. I have learned that is it is not always in my client’s best interest to list their home or to buy. If that is the case I have resources and options for them, so they can make their move or stay in their home. I have learned that buyers are not liars, they are uneducated about the process, or misinformed on the best way to achieve the home ownership goals. I have learned that you can change the world through real estate. That truly helping people achieve their real estate goals is one of the best ways to build and strengthen our communities, as well as the lives of those we serve. I have learned I can’t physically be aggressive, it is not in my nature, and that’s okay! Finally, I have learned that I am not a salesperson. I am a consultant, confidante, and coach. I don’t sell people anything, I empower and assistant them in all their real estate needs. I have learned that I am blessed with the ability to help others and make a difference in an industry where agents eat their own, and the public sees us as the equivalent to a used car salesman.
Because I knew I wasn’t the only one doing this in real estate, and after working for very brand-centric companies, I went on a pilgrimage to find a company that would attract like-minded agents to provide our community with the attention and service they not only deserve, but search for. So, if you don’t already know, our team has left our brokerage to help open a brand new Keller Williams office in Bossier City. I want to share with you why JTR Property Network chose to be part of brand new office and this community changing endeavor.
We chose Keller Williams because their Belief System and Core Values match up with ours. We chose Keller Williams because it is agent-centric, and knows its success is directly related to our success. Just like we (JTR) know that our success is directly tied to our clients’ real estate success, and because of this our clients always come first; with Keller Williams, the agents always come first. We chose Keller Williams because it is the #1 training company in the country, and we know that even though we all have different goals, we have the support and training to achieve our individual goals. We chose Keller Williams because they have proven models and systems that can be duplicated. We know we can be successful in our business and in serving our clients, because the top agents across the country are doing it through Keller Williams. We chose Keller Williams because it is a progressive real estate company that not only recognizes the real estate industry has changed, but has proactively taken steps to equip their agents with the modern tools needed to serve their clients. We chose Keller Williams because their Profit Share model, provides for residual income that can be vested, and assigned to a beneficiary so that we know our family is taken care of if anything happens to us. We chose Keller Williams because we found them to be the only company with a world-wide reach that not only has a defined Belief System, but the leadership lives and demonstrates it in their personal and professional lives. Finally, we chose Keller Williams because we know that we will be able to truly make a difference in the lives of every person we meet whether it is through real estate or personal relationships, because Keller Williams knows there is more to life than making a quick buck.
If you are an agent or thinking about becoming an agent, I would love to hear what your goals are so we can see how you can achieve it with Keller Williams. If you are thinking about buying or selling, our team would love to meet with you to determine what you need to do, and how we can help you reach your real estate goals!
All the best!
